Abstract
PURPOSE: To let brazing and soft nitriding treatment be continuously accomplished, achieve higher quality, etc. and lower cost by segmenting the inside of a brazing chamber to a heating chamber, slow cooling chamber and thermostatic chamber by special curtains and providing a NH3 gas supply system to the thermostatic chamber.
CONSTITUTION: In brazing the iron base works W, a brazing furnace 1 is segmented to a heating chamber 6, slow cooling chamber 7 and thermostatic chamber 8 by film curtains 10 made of stainless steel, to which a brazing atmosphere gas supply system 11 and NH3 gas supply system 13 are provided and the furnace body 2 is built of refractories. The iron base members w are placed on a conveyor 8, are heated to the specified temperature in the chamber 6 in the furnace 1, are brazed in the protecting atmosphere gas, are cooled to the specified temperature by a fan 15 in the slow cooling chamber 7, are subjected to soft nitriding treatment through addition of NH3 gas in the thermostatic chamber 8 and are delivered out from a take-out hole 5. Since the brazing and soft nitriding are accomplished continuously, the saving of manpower and the effective use of heat energy are accomplished and the toughness, mechanical strength, etc. of the products are improved.
