Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform optimum directional solidifying and enable the casting free from any shrinkage cavity to be obtained by providing the molten metal path made of hollow heat-resistant material which becomes stalk at the pressure pouring in the wall of the furnace body provided in adjacency to the mold, communicating this with the mold and rolling the furnace body after the pouring.
CONSTITUTION: The low-pressure casting device 10 is formed by a furnace body 11, a rotating device 12 which turns this and a mold holding device 13. The tapping hole 18 provided to the furnace wall is connected to the molten metal path 20 which becomes the stalk at the pouring. When the mold 22 is fixed and mounted to the furnace boyd mounting part 24 by a hydraulic cylinder 23, the mold side tapping hole 19 and mold injection port 24 are aligned. At the time of pouring, the air of low pressure is applied into the furnace body 11 and the molten metal 17 is poured into the mold 22 through the tapping hole 18, the molten metal path 20 which becomes stalk, tapping port 19 and mold inlet 25. At around the pouring, the mold turns over and the overheating temperature rising part near the inject owing to the pouring process turns over to the highest position in the final, and this can be the riser of gravity casting system.
