Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A single phase induction motor 2, a switching circuit 3 to this motor, a zero cross detecting circuit 5 which operates by a control power source 4 and detects and sends zero cross signals whenever the wave form of the AC input voltage crosses zero points, a counter circuit 7 which sends output signals to the trigger circuit 8 when pulse signals of the detecting circuit 5 are counted, switched by a change over switch 6 and pulse signals of the predetermined number are counted are equipped. The trigger circuit 8 which received output signals of the counter circuit 7 closes the switching circuit 3 and supplies current to the motor. When the wave form flowing in the main circuit reaches the zero point the switching circuit is opened and the half cycle of the AC input voltage is cut and speed is controlled.
