Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the measurement of ion concentration with high accuracy with stable reference electrode, by isolating the solution of salt without liquid connection from external and constituting the vessel with non-response film, to completely prevent the contamination of sample.
CONSTITUTION: The semi-sphere shell 24 of the non-response solidstate film is bonded to the tip of the protection tube 23 in air-tightness to form the vessel. The cotton plug 12 is given to the lower hole of the insulation tube 25 in it and caromel 7 is filled in for the lower half and mercury 8 is filled in the upper half and platinum wire 9 is inserted from the upper part. Potassium chloride water solution is filled in the protection tube 23 and it is immersed in the sample 3. The potential difference between the water solution 11 in the protection tube 23 and the semi-sphere shell 24 of non-response film and that between the external surface of the semi-sphere 24 and the sample liquid 3 are always constant to obtain stable reference voltage. Further, since the semi-sphere 24 and the protection tube 23 are completely closed, the water solution 11 never leakes in the sample 3.
