Abstract
PURPOSE: To establish the flow meter not affected with fluid speed, by constituting the magnetic sensor by winding the coil on the composite magnetic material in which a part of the magnetic hysteresis characteristics is rapidly changed to constitute the magnetic sensor, and by detecting the revolution of the wing wheel turned with fluid.
CONSTITUTION: The shaft 2 of the wing wheel having a plurality of wings 3 is inserted to the wall of the tube 1, and this shaft 2 is supported on the wall of the tube 1 via the water proof bearing 10, rotationably. Further, the disc 4 of nonmagnetic material is fixed to the external end of the shaft 2 and the permanent magnet 5 is mounted at the eccentric position of the disc 4. When the fluid flows in the tube 1, the wing wheel 3 turns and the magnet 5 on the disc 4 turns. This revolution is detected with the magnetic sensor which is constituted by winding the coil 7 on the composite magnetic material 6 having rapid change at a part of the magnetic hysteresis characteristics. Thus, every time when the permanent magnet passes the location opposing to the composite magnetic material 6, pulse exciting voltage is produced in the coil 7, allowing to measure the rotation of the wing wheel 3 accurately without being affected with the speed of the permanent magnet 5.
