Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the manufacture and to increase heat transfer efficiency, by a method wherein a magnetic fluid is contained in a sealed container whose one end forms a heating unit and other end forms a heat discharge unit, and a magnetic field is set up on the side of the heating unit and thereby the movement of the magnetic fluid is controlled.
CONSTITUTION: Under the condition where a heating unit 2 of sealed container 1 is not heated, magnetic fluid 4 is pulled upward along the inner surface of sealed container 1 by the magnetic force of a permanent magnet 5. Further, since the magnetic field set up by the permanent magnet 5 is made stronger toward the upper side, the magnetic fluid 4 is attracted and held onto the heating unit 2. Here, when the heating unit 2 is heated, the magnetic fluid 4 accumulates heat, the when its temperature rises above the Curie point, it loses its magnetic attractive force and moves to the heat discharging unit 3 by its own weight. Here, is discharges heat, and when its temperature falls below Curie point, it is attracted to the heating unit 2. This is repeated. By this structure, the manufacture is simplified and the heat transfer efficiency is increased.
