Abstract
PURPOSE: To easily drive in piles and to improve a support force, by welding small- sized pipes, whose both ends are closed, in the axial direction of a pipe on a circumference surface of a steel pipe pile so that their ends are positioned in a different place from the end of the steel pipe pile.
CONSTITUTION: Four small-sized pipes 2 are secured by welding 3 on an outer circumference surface or inner circumference surface of a steel pipe pile 1. At this time the end part of the small-sized pipe is closed in such a manner as welds together a rotating curved surface plate 4 whose concave surface points outward. The ends of the small-sized pipes 2 are positioned in a different place from the end of the steel pipe 1 and positioned in a different place by a distance d being equal to an outer meter D of the steel pipe 1. The length l of the small-sized pipe 2 welded together doubles the outer meter D of the steel pipe 1. The closed end part of the small-sized pipe can also be provided at a upper part being opposite to the original closed end part. The small-sized pipe allows the steel pipe 1 to be more difficult to be bent and give a large end-support strength when being driven in.
