Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of paper powder to deposit on feed rollers and belts, reduce the times of paper powder removing work and enhance transfer efficiency by making the ash content of the transfer paper for electrophotography 3W7% based on the bone dry weight of the paper.
CONSTITUTION: In the electrophotographic copying process, transfer paper 6 from a paper feed tray 5 is fed from a paper feeder 7 consisting of a feed roll 71, conveying rolls 72, guides 73, and the transfer is done on the paper 6 by a transfer Corotron 8, thence the paper passes through a fixing device 10 such as heat roller, whereby the copied image is obtained. Or, in place of the conveying rolls 72, a belt 74 and separating roller 75 are used. With an increase in the number of copying sheets, paper dust deposits on these rolls and belts and sometimes occurs paper feed defect. This occurs in the paper dust by the inorganic materials of fillers of the paper 6 and the paper fibrous structure on account of friction of the transfer paper 6 with the rollers etc. The ash content of the inorganic fillers is made 3W7% based on the bone dry weight of the paper, whereby the production of paper dust is reduced and the paper feed improved.
