Abstract
PURPOSE: To elongate the life of a cassette composed of an X-ray transmissive surface plate, a frame around the plate and an openable and closable back plate attached to the frame by making the frame or reinforced plastics in which reinforcing fibers have been arranged in the longitudinal directions of the frame.
CONSTITUTION: X-ray transmissive surface plate 8 of cassestte 1 is made of laminate of reinforcing fibers such as carbon fibers impregnated with epoxy resin or the like, frame 9 of cassette 1 is made of epoxy resin in which carbon fibers impregnated have been arranged in longitudinal directions A-A, B-B of frame 9, and plate 8 and rectangular surface 4 of frame 9 are simultaneously molded as one united body. Back plate 2 is obtained by laminating prepregs of similar reinforced plastics, it has an inside curve, and plate 2 is attached to frame 9 with hinges 3 at one side and interlocked to frame 9 with latches 4. Thus, intensifying screen 6 and film 4 are closely contacted with elastic body 7. Because of its high strength frame 9 does not deform, and the close contact state between film 5 and screen 6 is not made insufficient even after a long term of use. Accordingly, a clear X-ray image is obtained.
