Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a multi-nozzle recording head which can be easily manufactured and whose electricity supply means for discharging an ink jet is simplified, by making the electricity supply means of electroconductive layers laminated with an interposed insulating layer on a base plate. CONSTITUTION:An electroconductive base plate 1, on which heating resistors 2-1-2-n which are thermoelectric converters provided on an insulating layer 11, and a grooved plate 4, which is provided with long groove patterns 3-1-3-n which serve as liquid chambers which contain a recording liquid, are integrated with each other so that the heating resistors and the long grooves are located in corresponding positions. Selecting electrodes 5-1-5-n, common electrodes 6-1-6-m, etc. are connected to the resistors to apply signals. The heating resistor 2-i is provided on the insulating layer on the base plate 1. Electroconductive layers, which serve as the common electrodes and the selecting electrodes, are provided as multilayer electrodes on different planes on the insulating layer.
