Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate removal of dirt from a ventilation fan by a method wherein a strippable resin paint comprising water as the solvent and containing no plasticizers (e.g., DOP, DBP) is applied to those surfaces of a ventilation fan which contact dirty air, and a stripping coat is formed there.
CONSTITUTION: A strippable resin paint comprising water as the solvent and containing no plasticizers (e.g., DOP, DBP) liable to erode synthetic resin is applied to those surfaces of the main body frame 1, orifice 2, shutter 3, motor 4 and vanes 5 of a ventilation fan which contact dirty air. The paint is dried and hardened to form a stripping coat. For example, a water-soluble strippable resin paint comprising polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl acetate as the base resin is diluted with water to attain an adequate viscosity, applied to the cleaned surface of a substrate A in a thickness of about 30μ, and dried at ordinary temperature for about 2 hours to form a stripping coat B. Dirt C adhered to the surface of the substrate A can be removed simply by stripping the coat B.
