Abstract
PURPOSE:To surely improve the hardening characteristics of the pressing work by disposing a lower die body for pressing enabling its lifting up or down to the lower frame at the pressing and hardening of a steel material. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower frames 1, 2 are connected by maans of firm four connecting columns 3 and a lower die block 6 is secured to the central part on the lower frame 2 and a lower die body 5 is fixed to its top surface. A cooling liquid storage frame 11 is formed on the circumference thereof and cooling liquid is beforehand put therein. Next, the pressing work 7 having been heated to high temperature is placed on the top of the lower die body 5 and the upper storage frame 11B is laid on the lower storage frame 11A. Next, the upper die body 4 is lifted down to press the pressing work 7 to the lower die body 5, then body 21 which expels the cooling liquid descends and dips into the cooling liquid to expel the liquid and elevates rapidly the liquid level, thereby dipping the pressing work 7 into the cooling liquid and quenching and hardening the same. After lapse of a fixed time, the the body 21 which expels the cooling liquid, upper die body 4 and upper storage frame 11B are moved upward in the reverse order from the above to transfer the pressing work 7 away from the top surface of the lower body 5 and the work is ended.
