Abstract

PURPOSE: An input converter which contains a parallel link pivoted at either connecting point and a holder, when applied with a specified load or less, in position locking the linkage including the point, and can securely transmit power intermittently without a lag or a gap.
CONSTITUTION: When an input bell crank 2 in the neutral position is turned in the direction of an arrow A, the motion is transmitted to the primary and secondary bell cranks 5, 9 via rods 3, 4. The bell crank 5 pushes a rod 7 to move an idle pulley 8 against a spring rod 11. In turn, the rod 4 moves the bell crank 9 in the opposite direction to the idle pulley 8. An output rod 10, at a point j connected to the bell crank 9, is affected to make a slight turn about a connection point k with an output bell crank 13 which is remained still. During the motion, a hydraulic cylinder 12 is kept locked. When the hydraulic cylinder 12 is released from locking, said crank 2 transmits the motion to the crank 13.
