Abstract
PURPOSE: The emulsion polymerization of a mixture consisting of an acrylic emulsion copolymer, a mixture of specific monomers and a water-soluble copolymer gives a pressure-sensitive adhesive with high flowability and applicability.
CONSTITUTION: (A) An acrylic emulsion copolymer, (B) a monomer mixture consisting of (a) 70W99wt% of 4W11C alkyl acrylate, 5W12C alkyl methacrylate and/or styrene monomers, (b) 1W30% of copolymerizable α,β-unsaturated monomers and (c) 0W30wt% of other copolymerizable monomers and (C) a water- soluble copolymer which is obtained by solution polymerization of 5W60wt% of α,β-unsaturated monomers and 40W95% of other monomers and neutralization of at least one part are mixed and the emulsion polymerization is effected by dropping a polymerization initiator to produce said objective adhesive.
