Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure the equal application voltage for each piezoelectric element and thus increase the performance of the band pass filter, by providing the tuning capacitors of different capacities between the terminals of the differential transformer of the Jaumann-type piezoelectric BPF. CONSTITUTION:The secondary coil L2 of differential transformr L of Jaumann-type piezoelectric BPF is formed with coils L21 and L22. Then tuning capacitors C1 and C2 are provided to both ends of coils L21 and L22 each. Thus the serial resonance circuit is formed with coils L21 and L22 plus capacitors C1 and C2 each. Here the resonance frequency of the above resonance circuit is synchronized with the central frequency of the filter, and both C1 and C2 are controlled in case secondary side voltage V2 is not equal to V3. As a result, the equal absolute value is obtained between V2 and V3. In such way, the unbalanced voltage component due to the unbalance between the coils can be negated, thus eliminating the characteristic deterioration caused by the unbalanced voltage component. Thus the good attenuation characteristics can be obtained over a wide band.
