Abstract
PURPOSE: To accurately move the optical system to required plural variable magnification positions by moving an objective lens until driving force is cut off by more than specified load then driving and moving a mirror by the specified amount by way of a timing pulley.
CONSTITUTION: When a carriage 6 is moved until it touches a stopper 12 by the movement of a belt 35 by way of a driving source 21, the transmission of driving power from a pulley 33 to the belt 35 is obviated by more than the specified load and the carriage 6 stops. After this stopping, a timing pulley 27 which had been provided with a gap 41 and had been idling couples to a shaft 26 by way of the protrusion 40 of the shaft 26 to transmit the driving force to the belt 29, causing the carriage 7 of a relatively large weight to move until it touches a stopper 18 and the driving force is no more transmitted. As a result of this, the 1st scale-down magnification opticl system by the lens and mirror 3 which had formed the equal magnification optical system is formed. Similarly, the carriages 6, 7 move accurately at the different ratio corresponding to the variable magnication until they touch the stoppers 13, 19, etc., whereby the 2nd scale-down optical system or the like is formed.
