Abstract

CONSTITUTION: In the ammonia-reduction of waste gases containing sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides from coke oven, sintering furnace, etc., at a low temperature, a catalyst consisting of a titanium compound, a vanadium compound, and a rare earth element compound of lanthanum, Yttrium, etc., is used. The catalyst exhibits a high reductive activity under the temperature condition of 300°C or less and also a high durability under the heating regeneration condition for substances adhered to the surface of the catalyst.
