Abstract

PURPOSE: To conduct winding with uniform quality by a method wherein the field current and armature current of a DC motor for driving a front drum as well as the diameter of a take-up roll are detected, and the field current of a DC motor for driving a rear drum is adjusted according to the detection signals.
CONSTITUTION: DC motors 7 and 8 for driving front and rear drums respectively are connected in parallel with each other and connected to the output side of a control rectifier 9. A tacho-generator 10 is coupled directly with the motor 7, and its output is compared with a set voltage from a speed setter 12 by a comparator 13. The output of the comparator 13 is fed to a voltage control circuit 14, which feeds a voltage control signal to the recrifier 9, for controlling the DC output voltage. A field current signal from a field current output circuit 59 is fed as a current reference signal to a field current control circuit 17. The armature current and field current of the motor 7, the armature current of the motor 8, and the winding diameter are detected, and the armature current of the motor 8 is automatically adjusted according to the winding diameter.
