Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve adhesion strength by a method wherein sheets of photographic paper are overlapped, the overlapped portion is preheated, prepressed, then induction-heated by application of an HF voltage, and pressed.
CONSTITUTION: Two sheets of photographic paper to be spliced together are overlapped over an adequate width. The overlapped portion is preheated, prepressed, then induction-heated by application of an HF voltage, and pressed to be adhered. In an embodiment, for example, the rear end of a photographic paper sheet A are overlapped with the tip end of a photographic paper sheet B at the width of 7mm. HF oscillators are set on an electrode hole portion 4, in such a manner as to apply an HF voltage to two portions spaced about 1/4 of the width of an upper electrode 1 from both ends of the latter, and preheating and prepressing are conducted under the conditions of 120°C and 10kg/cm2. Then the HF voltage is applied while applying the electrode 1 with a load of 20kg/cm2. By this, a uniform and sufficient adhesion strength can be obtained over the whole width.
