Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the automatic turn-off of the power switch of the TV after end of the broadcast, by detecting the synchronous signal contained in the video signal. CONSTITUTION:The signal received at video/aural receiver circuit 2 and via antenna 1 is separated from the video signal through synchronous circuit 7, and furthermore the isolation is given between the vertical and horizontal synchronous signals. Then synchronous signal detection circuit 10 gives the comparison and detection between the synchronous signal in the tuning state which is the output of circuit 7 and the noise in the non-tuning state each. Circuit 10 is constituted with the transistor with the biase set so as to be turned on when the synchronous signal is supplied, and then carries out the detecting action. Electric conduction control circuit 11 consisting of the timer circuit is always reset to the original state via the output of circuit 10 but actuates electromagnetic unit 12 in case no signal exists for a fixed time. Unit 12 utilizes the electromagnetic relay and cuts off the electric conduction via the function of the self-support contact to switch off the power source.
