Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of noise in using an axial flow fan at low speed by forming a concaved part in the surface part on the intake side of each blade piece.
CONSTITUTION: On the outer side surface of a fan boss 15 made of plastic, a plurality of blades 17 are radially and outwardly formed as integral parts. On the surface 17e on the intake side of each blade piece 17, a groove 18 is formed from the vicinity of the inner peripheral part 17d of the blade piece 17 to the vicinity of the outer peripheral part 17e and positioned on a radial line having the shaft hole 16 as center, and positioned on the other side edge part 17b side from the intermediate point between one side edge part 17a and the other side edge part 17b. Accordingly, if each blade piece 17 is driven in the direction of arrow R, the air flow 21 which flows along the back surface part 17f dashes against the back surface part 17f, and the direction of wind alters to the direction of arrow D. On the other hand, the air flow 20 on the surface part is pulled in the direction of the groove 18 and flows along the surface part 17c. Thus, the range exfoliation reduces markedly, and the noise generated by wind blowing action can be reduced.
