Abstract
PURPOSE: To easily control the feed rate of a pulverized material to be metal- sprayed, by introducing into a suction chamber in an ejector a part of a suction gas separated from a gaseous-solid mass discharged from the ejector, while controlling the flow rate of the gas to be introduced into the suction chamber, whereby the combustion condition in a metal-spray burner can be maintained in an unvarying state.
CONSTITUTION: A pulverized material, such as alumina in a hopper 1 is introduced 5 into a suction chamber 11 in an ejector 6 via a stop valve 2, a flow rate controller 3 and a flow meter 4. A suction gas is introduced into the ejector 6 through a tapered nozzle of a pipe 9 so as to be discharged at high speed into a pipe 10. As a result, the pulverized material introduced 5 into the ejector 6 is mixed with the suction gas, and the resulting mixture in the form of a gaseous-solid mass is introduced into a gas-solid separator 12. A part of the ejected gas is separated in the separator 12 from the gaseous-solid mass. The separated gas is introduced into the chamber 11 in the ejector 6 while regulating the flow rate thereof by a return gas flow rate controlling valve 14. The greater part of the gaseous-solid mass introduced into the separator 12 is introduced 16 into a metal-spray burner 17 so as to be sprayed. The suction gas used in this method consists of, for example, a fuel gas, such as propane, or oxygen, the supporter of combustion.
