Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the increase in the width of a vehicle and obtain smooth transmission of driving force by providing hydraulic cylinders on both sides of a starting wheel and driving the starting wheel by these hydraulic cylinders through a crank shaft.
CONSTITUTION: On the front and rear sides of a track frame 2 are provided an inducing wheel 3 and a starting wheel 4 respectively, while an endless-type belt 5 being mounted between the wheels 3 and 4. With respect to the track device of such a crawler truck, the starting wheel 4 is mounted to a crank shaft 7 both ends of which are supported, in the rotation-free manner, by a bracket 6 projecting upward from both sides of the frame 2. The crank shaft 7 is equipped with crank arms, for instance, of three 71W73 projecting at an equal interval in the radiating direction around the center of the starting wheel 4. On pins 7aW7c of these crank arms 71W73 is supported the tip of a piston rod 8a of the hydraulic cylinders 8, for instance, of three through a connecting member 9.
