Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively damp vibration transmitted to a handle, by building air tubes filled with elastic foam in an air chamber of a cylndrical air-spring having a hollow center for penetating the handle. CONSTITUTION:A hollow cylindrical air-spring 1 as a hermetic air chamber is composed of an external rubber cylinder 1a, internal rubber cylinder 1b solid with the external one, flange 1c and valve 2. Air tubes 3, filled with elastic foam 4 with a large air volume ratio and equipped with valves 5 each penetrating the flange 1c, are set in the air chamber. The external rubber cylinder 1a is equipped with the said valve 2 and the space except for those occupied by the air tubes 3 in the air-spring 1 is filled with compressed air to compose a compound air-spring which can insulate vibration transmitted by a handle 6 penetrating through the air-spring 1 at the hollow center.
