Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the mold of intricate curved surfaces without using any false parts and cores by packing sand between pit wall and the wooden pattern fixed in the pit and molding the same then similarly molding the sand between the opposite surface of the wooden pattern and the metal flask erected in the pit, moving the mold and removing the wooden pattern.
CONSTITUTION: A wooden pattern 10 is suspended and fixed in a pit 11 by a suspension jig 12. At this time, the distance between the wooden pattern 10 and pit wall 13 is so set as to become the specified mold thickness. Sand 15 is supplied into this spacing to mold a stationary mold 16. A partition 17 is formed to the peripheral part of the mold 16.
