Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve character quality by eliminating the waver of characters, by equalizing the number of luminous points of a character in an even-numbered field to that in an odd-numbered field.
CONSTITUTION: Raster addresses 0, 2, 4, 6..., 2n are generated on an even-numbered line in an even-numbered field, and raster addresses 1, 3, 5..., 2n-1 on an odd-numbered line in the even-numbered field; and raster addresses 1, 3, 5..., 2n-1 are also generated on the even-numbered line in an odd-numbered field, and raster addresses 0, 2, 4..., 2n on the odd-numbered line in the odd-numbered field. To generate addresses as mentioned above, the reset timing of raster counter 111 and the output of counter 111 are controlled according to the parity of the field and that of the line.
