Abstract
PURPOSE: To project two main and sub pictures simultaneously by receiving two main and sub channels at the same time and then by applying the color signal and video signal of the sub channel with its time axis compressed to CRT in parallel those of the main channel.
CONSTITUTION: A color difference signal obtained by receiving and processing a signal from sub-channel turner 20 by video detection circuit 22 and chroma circuit 23 is supplied to color signal memory 33 by turns via color-signal alternation switch 36, and a video signal from video amplifier 24 to video signal memory 34. Under the control of control signal generating circuit 35, memories 33 and 34 are stored with color difference signals and video signals of one out of every three lines and they are read intermittently at a speed three times as high as that of write operation to extract a signal with its time axis compressed. This signal is supplied to matrix circuit 28, R-Y amplifier 29 and B-Y amplifier 31 by turns via alternation switch 37 to obtain from circuit 28 a G-Y signal, which is supplied to amplifier 31. Respective amplification outputs are applied to main/sub alternation switches 38, 39 and 40 and then supplied to output circuits 16, 17 and 18, so that R, G and B signals will be supplied to CRT19.
