Abstract

PURPOSE: Metal tips is bent and crushed in the step form efficiently by a crushing roller with waveform in its outer circumference. By doing so, metal powder can be produced in low cost.
CONSTITUTION: Metal tips charged to a hopper 1 is fed in the quantitative mode by a screw feeder 5 and is guided by a guide plate 6 to fall onto a roller 7. Then, it is geared to a crushing roller 7 which is mating and rotating each other and falls down after it is bent and crushed by a waveform part 7d of the roller 7. Then, as is described the tips undergo repeated bending and crushing in the step form by a crush roller; 7a, 7b and 7c after passing through a guide plate; 6a, 6b and 6c respectively. Thus, the metal tips has the form of simple beam of one side or both sides fulcrum and it is crushed by bending between the roller in such a way that metal powder less than the pitch of waveform of the roller is to be obtained.
