Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of producing fine drops of ink for the ink jet recording by preventing the transmission of a pressure force applied to the ink in the ink room to the ink flow path with a non-return valve of sheet form. CONSTITUTION:Film-like non-return valve 7 whose one end is secured while the other end thereof is free is opened by ink flow from the ink inflow path 2 so that the ink is supplied to the ink room 4 of recording head 1. This ink is ejected from discharge orifice 5 as ink fine drop by the pressure via diaphragm 9 displaced in response to the recording signal applied to electrodes 10, 11. In this case, the ink in the path 2 is not applied by the pressure force via diaphragm 9 due to closed valve 7, but only the ink supplied in the room 4 is subjected to pressure, hence the occurrence efficiency of ink fine drop is enhanced.
