Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure the dimensions of materials at high precision without making contact, by using plurality of industrial television cameras and television receivers equipped with cursor scanning line generating mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of industrial television cameras 3a to 3n are disposed parallel, and are connected to television receivers 5a, 5b equipped with a cursor scanning line generating device 6, by way of a television camera video signal selector 11. Of the industrial television cameras 3a to 3n, one of which viewing field covers the measuring part of the material 2 is selected by the television camera video signal selector 11, and the dimension measuring part of the material 2 is shot and reproduced in television receivers 5a, 5b. At the same time, driving cursor carriers 7a, 7b, lateral and vertical cursor line are generated by the cursor scanning line generating device 6 to superpose on the reproduced image of the dimension measuring part of the material 2. The number of scanning lines and the number of clock pulses are counted by a scanning line counter 8, and are displayed as the dimensions of the material 2 in the display unit 10.
