Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a heating resistor of good heat-resisting property and high- voltage-resisting property and low electric resistance variation, by using at least one of BaRuO3, CaRuO3 and SrRuO3 and a binder glass of high softening temperature.
CONSTITUTION: The BaRuO3, CaRuO3 and SrRuO3 are synthesized by high-temperature reaction and have a high stability at high temperature. At least one of them is used as electroconductive constituent. Amorphous glass of about 700 to 850 °C in softening temperature is pulverized, thereby producing glass frit of 3 μ or less in grain size. The glass frit and the powder of the electroconductive constituent are mixed with each other. The mixture is kneaded with a vehicle, thereby making paste. The plaste is printed between gold terminals printed and baked on an alumina substrate and is then baked, thereby making the thick film resistor for heater. If the softening temperature is lower than 700°C, the heat-resisting property is low. If the softening temperature is higher than 850°C, baking above 1000°C is needed and therefore the production cost is high.
