Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable easily stopping of an elevator cage in door zone by providing an indicator for indicating that the cage enters into the door zone at emergency time.
CONSTITUTION: When an emergency operating unit 10 of key switch for operating an elevator cage in emergency within the cage 5 is operated, a contact 10a is closed to thereby energize an emergency operation indicator 11. Thus, the cage 5 is operated in emergency and the emergency operation is indicated. When the cage 5 thus operated in emergency enters into the door zone, a position detector 14 is closed to thereby energize first and second indicators 12, 13 to thus indicate aurally and visually that the cage 5 is within the door zone. When the cage 5 is stopped at this time, the hall door can be immediately opened.
