Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform heat accumulation and cold accumulation in high efficiency by utilizing the absorption and release of the heat of chemical reaction accompanied by decomposition and recombination of inorganic compounds added with ammonia.
CONSTITUTION: A vessel 1 as a heat accumulating tank and a vessel 2 as a cold accumulating tank in which inorganic compounds 3 and 4 added with ammonia are stored respectively are connected with a pipe through valves 5 and 6, and a pump 7 for feeding ammonia gas under pressure from the cold accumulating tank 2 to the heat accumulating tank 1. In heat accumulation, valves 5 and 6 are opened, and the temperature in the cold accumulating tank 2 is kept, for example, at 18 - 25°C by using cooling water, and the heat accumulating tank is heated by solar heat, and inorganic compounds described above are put into chemical reaction, and the ammonia produced is added in the tank 1, and heat accumulation is performed. Meanwhile, reverse reaction is performed in necessary, and the regeneration of heat is obtained.
