Abstract

PURPOSE: A pressure-sensitive elastomer composition having improved resistance to repeated pressing and releasing with little noise in electricity conduction, comprising artificial graphite particles of round pebble shape dispersed in an organic flexible base material.
CONSTITUTION: About 25W55 vol.% preferably 30W40 vol.% of artificial graphite particles of rounded pebble shape are dispersed in a base consisting of an insulating organic flexible material, e.g. natural, styrene-butadiene rubbers, etc. The particles preferably have a wadell degree of roundness ≥0.7, a particle size to pass through a screen of 180μ opening but not to pass through a screen of 40μ opening, and a ratio of the maximum to minimum particle size of about 1W1. 7:1.
