Abstract

PURPOSE: To make easier the coaxial multi-point expansion of tube without deviation of axial direction before and after pressure by the procedure in which plural number of tube expansion elements consisting of holder metal and cylindrical elastic body with charging hole for pressure fluid are inserted into a tube to be expanded so as to locate them at a position corresponding to plate with tube hole, and then pressure fluid is injected.
CONSTITUTION: Tube expansion elements consisting of the holder metal 13 with the charging holes 14 and 15 for pressure fluid and the cylindrical elastic body 17 are connected with the connecting tube 16 in the same number as that of the plate 11 with tube hole and then inserted into the tube 12. Then, a pressure fluid is injected into the charging hole 21 of the back up ring 20 so as to deform the cylindrical elastic body in the radial direction, whereby the tube 12 is expanded by the plate 11 with tube hole and the plate 11 and the tube 12 are contacted with each other. The soft cylindrical elastic body 17a is deformed in the radial direction by pressure, and the rigid cylindrical elastic body 17b is deformed by rotation.
