Abstract
PURPOSE:To make servo arm highly rigid and lightweight by forming the servo arm for servo head in the specified shape and construction. CONSTITUTION:If the servo arm of servo head is formed in a wedge shape of a pointed tip and in rib construction, its rigidity increases and it mass decreases, hence its natural frequencies increase. Hence by selecting the specific position such as center of multiple data discs and servo position, the position of the servo disc may be arbitrarily selected without need for reducing the data head positioning errors produced in the disc apparatus owing to temperature distribution.
