Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible minimizing the change in heating resistance and the effect of the variations thereof on the applied power of heating elements by series connecting additional resistors having resistance values more than 0.15 times the resistance values of heating resistors to said resistors.
CONSTITUTION: As pulses are supplied between selected conductors, e.g., 121 and 122, 125 and 126, heating resistors 101, 103 evolve heat to obtain picture elements. At this time, additional resistors 111 thru 118 which do not contribute to color formation are inserted and connected respectively to the heating resistors 101 thru 104 via conductors 121 thru 128. When the individual resistors are attached to a group of heating resistors, the relations of the change rates of the heating resistor values and the change rates of the applied power of the heating elements are indicated by n=(additional resistor resistance value)/(heating element resistance value). The figure reveals that additional resistance corresponding to n≥0.15 is required to keep the variations of the applied power within ±10%, thus by providing the additional resistors and suitably setting the value of n, the problems of uneven densities, deterioration acceleration, etc. may be solved.
