Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure the thermal resistance of the measuring object from the temperature differences at both surfaces of the measruing object obtained from a heat flow sensor and a temperature sensor and the heat fluxes measured with the heat flow sensor.
CONSTITUTION: The heat transfer part 9 of a heat pipe 7 wound with the measuring object 5 is kept at an isothermal state and heat fluxes radially flow within the measuring object 5. Further the heat fluxes 9 flowing in the heat flow sensor 11 are obtained through operation with a heat flow gauge 15 from the temperature differences at both surfaces of the standard sample provided therein. The temperature difference ΔT of both surfaces of the measuring object 5 is obtained from the potential difference between the temperature sensor 10 provided on the surface of the heat pipe 7 and one of the temperature sensors constituting the heat flow sensor 11. The intrinsic thermal resistance in the cylindrical state of the measuring object 5 is obtained from the temperature difference ΔT and heat flow fluxes having been obtained in this way and the thickness of the measuring object 5 having been beforehand measured.
