Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a dielectric porcelain material for the micro wave resonator with large dielectric constant, large no-loaded Q, and exellent thermal stability of resonance frequency comprising BaO, MgO, Nb2O5, and Ta2O5.
CONSTITUTION: Weighing materials of BaCO3, MgO, Nb2O5, and Ta2O5 so that x and y are 0.6≤x≤2.0 and 0<y<1 in the composition of the formula 3BaO. xMgO.(1-y)Nb2O5,yTa2O5, wet-mixing, drying, and baking at 1200°C for 2 hrs in the air. Then, wet-reducing to powder, drying, press-molding, and baking at 1460°C to 1360°C for 2 hrs in the air to obtain a dielectric porcelain of above mentioned composition. The porcelain material is useful for an impedance matching box or a dielectric resonator of a micro wave circuit in the range of the micro wave. This material is useful for also condenser because of its reduced dielectric loss and change of dielectirc constant by the temperature in the low frequency range.
