Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a centrifugal dehydrator, in which a timing control switch and an intermittently operated switch are provided for selectively switching weak and strong dehydrating operation of a single-pole motor, whereby occurrence of wrinkles to clothes made of synthetic fibres can be prevented and it is enabled to dehydrate clothes of cotton or the like efficiently.
CONSTITUTION: When clothes to be washed are put into the dehydrator and the cover is closed, safety switch SF is closed. Then, dehydrating timer T is set in the range of strong dehydration, current is supplied continuously to dehydrating motor M until main contact S1 is turned OFF. On the other hand, when the timer T is set in the range of weak dehydration, current is supplied to motor M as intermittently operated contact S2 is opened and closed, until main contact S1 is turned OFF. Thus, the dehydrating backet is operated intermittently by means of the single-pole motor at the time of dehydrating clothes of synthetic fibres, so that occurrence of wrinkles can be prevented. Further, if the above intermittent operation of motor M is carried out with the time cycle of 4W6 seconds of operation and 12W26 seconds of rest, a most desirable effect will be obtained.
