Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an open type air conditioner equipped with ventilating system, which is designed such that cooled air discharged from the room to be air-conditioned is mixed with open air to be humidified, whereby it is enabled to improve cooling capacity of the apparatus and thus to make the structure of the apparatus compact.
CONSTITUTION: High-temperature outdoor air of condition E is drawn from inlet port 17 and supplied through ventilating means 1 into the room to be air-conditioned. A portion of cooled room air of condition A is supplied through suction port 19 to rotary latent heat exchanger 2, and then it is supplied to sensible heat exchanger 3 under the condition B. At the heat exchanger 3, it is pre-cooled by way of sensible heat exchanging with outdoor air cooled to condition G, with its latent heat being deprived by evaporation thereof at humidifier 6. Air of condition c in pre-cooler is then passed through humidifier 5 where it is deprived of its latent heat by way of evaporation, and it is converted into air of condition D, controlled at a low temperature and at a proper humidity, and supplied into the room by fan 12. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to make an efficient use of cooled room air without discharging it to the outside of the system and thus to enhance its cooling capacity.
