Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain passage of gas chromatogram capable of analyzing at high precision by providing plural carrier gas introducing holes in the vicinity of both ends of an isolation column.
CONSTITUTION: The isolation column to separate the content of the specimen introduced from the specimen feeding part comprises backed column filled with carrier immersed in high boiling point solvent or filled with adsorbing agent. A high sensitivity detector to detect the content of specimen flowing out of this column is provided. And the isolation column is installed in the detector metal having a nozzle attached to the upper part thereof and designed to introduce hydrogen gas from the side. In the passage of thus constructed gas chromatogram, which is a hydrogenation detector, plural carrier gas introducing holes 14 are provided in the isolation column 3, and the upper part is in contact with the lower face of the nozzle and is at the same time secured hermetically to a detector metal 12 by means of O-ring 16 and washer 17, with a cap nut 6. Since introducing holes 14 are provided, the isolated specimen content is quickly carried to a flame 13, so that the peak of chromatogram may be sharp, without dispersion of the isolated content.
