Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a small and light reflecting mirror, which has excellent responsibility in high frequency range, by arranging a fixed electrode, which has an electret, and a flexible variable electrode, which has a mirror surface, in a manner to face each other through an air layer.
CONSTITUTION: When an AC voltage is impressed through an air layer constructed of an insulating spacer 13 between a fixed electrode 12, which is composed of a conductive layer 10 and an electret layer 11, and a flexible variable electrode 15 which is prepared to have a mirror surface by evaporating gold or copper, the radius of curvature of the electrode 15 is varied through the layer 11 in high response to the voltage applied in high frequency range. As a result, it is possible to provide a light and small reflecting mirror of variable focal point having an excellent responsibility with the use of such simple construction. Incidentally, similar results can be obtained even if the electret is provided on the variable electrode.
