Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an air conditioner which has slimmish feeling and can obtain large opening area of window by providing engaging portions for mounting installation frames at the air conditioner body attachable to a window by the frames. CONSTITUTION:Recesses 6 are provided in size corresponding to installation frames 7 on the upper and lower surfaces 4 and 5 of the housing 3 of an air conditioner 1 containing a compressor, a heat exchanger, a blower, etc. When the frames 6 are inserted into the respective recesses 6, the air conditioner 1 can be mounted at a window via cushions in standing state. Thus, the width required to mount the air conditioner 1 is enough to that of the conditioner 1 itself so as to eliminate the width of the installation frames to thus provide slimmish feeling. Accordingly, it can increase as much the opening area of the window.
