Abstract
PURPOSE:To strengthen the sliding surface by applying anodic oxidation treatment on the sliding surface of a piston or cylinder made of casting aluminium alloy. CONSTITUTION:A piston 1 or cylinder 2 made of casting aluminium alloy containing silicon above 12% is treated with anodic oxidation processing in acidic electrolytic solution, and an oxydized film layer (Al2O3) is formed on the sliding surface.
