Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a fire resistant coating compositon for outdoor and indoor use, and having sufficiently high water resistance and crack resistance for the outdoor ue, by compounding an organic binder, frit, and a medium.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising an organic binder, an inorgnaic film- forming material containing frit as an essential component, and a medium. Said frit is a glass powder obtained by melting and quenching at least a part of the components of glazing of porcelain or enamel, or baing flux. The organic binder is, e.g. homopolymer or copolymer emulsion of acrylic resin, vinyl acetate resin, etc., and pref. has a minimum film-forming temperature of ≤ 20°C to obtain a film having structural crack resisftance. The amount of the binder is pref. 20-30wt% based on the coating composition
