Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the temperature of a glow plug effectively without any adjustment and electric wiring connection, which is used in an auxiliary starting device to start an internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: This auxiliary starting device is constituted of a magnetic resisting element 7, a resistance voltage-deviding-circuit, a comparator 10, and an inverter 15. The magnetic resisting element 7 varies its resistance with the variation in the magnetic field generated by the glow plug current. The resistance voltage-deviding-circuit consists of the element 7 and a rsistance 9, which takes out an electric signal V1 varying with the resistance of th element 7. The electric signal V1 and a time constant signal V2 sent from a time constant circuit consisting of a constant- voltage diode 11, resisftances 12, 13, and a condensor 14 are put in the comparator 10. The inverter 15 inverts a signal from the state of the outputted circuit 10 and puts out the inverted signal, which controls a relay 16 to open or close a make-contact 17 so that a starting motor 18 can be turned on or off
