Abstract
PURPOSE:A manufacturing apparatus for dense crushed slag which is capable of recovering the heat energy of molten slag, having the mechanism in which molten slag is supplied into the upper hole of the cylindrical holes piercing from above to below with internal water-circulating spaces and the abruptly cooled slag is discharged from the lower hole. CONSTITUTION:The lower hole of the cylindrical holes 1a, 1b, and 1c is closed by the closing devices 7a, 7b, and 7c. The molten slag 6 is injected into the upper hole with the aid of the molten slag charging device 40, and then abruptly cooled and solidified by the water 5 circulating in the space of the enclosed tank 2. When vapor pressure is increased by heating the water 5 and then exceeds the set pressure of the automatic pressure regulating valve 13, saturated vapor having the same pressure as the set pressure starts to generate. The lowering of the water level inside the vapor-water separating durm 15 as the vapor generates is detected by the water level meter 17, and the water supply regulating valve 8a supplies cooling water to automatically keep the water level constant. After the elapth of a fixed time, all of the enclosed thanks devices 7a, 7b, and 7c are opened, and the plunger 41 of the pusher 42 is operated vertically to discharge solidified slag from the lower hole.
