Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce vibration of outer walls of induction and discharge pipes by providing an orifice between a discharge port and a flange in a discharge silencer, whereby pressure pulsation at induction and discharge ports side is lessened before a fluid passes through the induction and discharge ports.
CONSTITUTION: An orifice 29 is provided as a throttle section between a discharge port 10 and a flange 34 in a discharge silencer 21. The orifice 29 in the drawing has hole, but it may have a plurality of small holes. Pressure pulsation in a discharge passage 11 is reflected by and end plane 35 in the orifice 29, and at the same time, contracting from the passage to an orifice open section. Then, the pressure pulsation is lessened by viscosity resistance when the fluid expands from th orifice open section to a chamber 25, and has no energy enough to vibrate an outer wall of the discharge silencer 21 in the chamber 25. Thus, noise caused by pressure pulsation at an induction port 7 and the discharge port 10 side is lessened
