Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce high harmonic torques by arranging two rotors having respective magnets to sandwich a coaxial stator having a toloidal coil in a spaced- apart relation to the stator and with the poles of first and second magnets slightly shifted relative to each other.
CONSTITUTION: A revolving electtic machine comprises an armature 1 as a stator having a toroidal armature coil 3 wound in a core 2 and two rotors disposed to sandwich the armature 1 in a spaced-apart relation thereto and each including a magnet 6, a yole 5 anf a rotor ring 7, with the opposite magnets facing each other having reapective poles shifted relative to each other by a small electric angle θ. Thus, the voltage induced across the coil 3 has a waveform with less harmonic components, so that harmonic torques can be reduced with a simple construction, in which only the positions of magents are slightly shifted relative to each other on a suitable shaft 4
